A thorn in my finger!

I've not been able to take many photos recently. Every time I pressed the shutter button Aaaaa, every time I turned to command wheel Aaaaa.

The reason - a pathetic little thorn I just couldn't get at.
It caused me so much pain over the last few weeks!
Third time lucky, using a scalpel blade, I cut open the tip of my index finger - success!!! Oh the joy of no more pain 👀

Does anyone know a better way to remove thorns?
